Despite the violent history of the exclusion of Third World voices from dominant archives, how can we use archives as a tool for redress?

Using selected archives from the University of Miami, ranging from nineteenth century registers of enslaved people to the contemporary archives of Miami organizations, we will discuss ways of reclaiming and healing archival silences through Saidiya Hartman’s concept of critical fabulation.
